Nevermind.
I use dofile("c:\\test.lua") to load external script. Functions from that script can then be used in main script in FF. Note that this only works in unsafe mode, and while the lua 5.1 reference states that "In case of errors, dofile propagates the error to its caller (that is, dofile does not run in protected mode)" this is not working .. error("message") in external file will NOT make it to message log..
