Hi! I'm in charge of the FF social media and we've got an interesting message from @bellopropello on Instagram. I thought I should share @bellopropello's thoughts abouth Ultraforge and AI with you.

'it looks very powerful ... i'm not sure if the new filterforge universum would be really very helpful for my work. filterforge with his <<freezed images) serves as a wonderful helper for my animation work and even the features of animating filterforge images isn't necessary for my daily filmmaking work. ok, at the end ai will overtake my whole job. but untile then i'll try to use my own skills. hope this statement helps you ...'

What do you think? Can AI overtake your job?
Regards,
Jane

A bit of history. AI has been brewing for a long time, we just started calling it that. In the past 50 years or more there has been:

- Fuzzy logic
- Language skills in database linking words of different tenses, plurals, synonyms using the function LIKE to improve vocabulary skills and searching abilities
- Image editing without scissors, Photoshop et al
- Recording high quality audio without tape, Pro Tools et al
- Programmed robots to build cars etc etc
- Keyboards that can simulate whole orchestras using sampling

This just scratches the surface, but you get the idea.

The question then becomes, what is the human cost? These concepts have clearly taken away jobs fr om humans who used to do these things, but are no longer needed. Is society able to retrain people to do other things? In a profit driven economy the answer is no in most cases. So we have ended up with a shrinking middle class, where people end up behind the counter at a McDonalds serving burgers and living with 5 other people in a small apartment. Are the tools to blame? Probably a no as well, it is how we use them.

Recent development in AI and other computer tools have led to "programs" that have a negative impact IMHO:

- Monitoring employee activity, emails, texts and phone calls for non-approved language/activities
- Harvesting data into the "cloud" of all activity on social media for advertising purposes
- Tracking your GPS location for government/police/political reasons via your smartphone.
- Using products like ChapGPT to create essays and papers using the "cloud" to create works that are "fake" and not your OWN THINKING
- Dependence on smartphones and computers has led to negative social conditions such as cyber bullying, hacking and computer viruses

My take: the tools we have created are moving faster than our evolutionary process, possibly leading to large negative impacts on our species. I love some of the new tools, but see the for profit mentality ruining what could be a renaissance in our time.

On a personal level I use several anti-tracking programs and plugins:
- Lockdown for ios and the Mac
- Ad Block Plus for my browser
- HiYa for blocking bogus phone calls
- Facebook Container for my browser

My 2 cents, 3 with inflation.

There is a saying that goes something like "AI won't take your job. A person using AI will."

So no. Everyones job title will just gradually be converted into Prompt Engineer. That is until AIs will become self prompting agents - then the answer will be yes smile:D

Well... HAL 9000 (from the movie 2001) will be here someday, hopefully without a bad attitude ("I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."). smile:D I wonder how primitive man felt when the strong men were replaced by the wheel.

It depends of kind of and job do and AI will be able to do it better than you, or if your boss or clients learn to use AI and would be able to do what you do and have the time to do it

As far as I see it now, there is NO automatic AI creation and still needs human interaction

YES! This is the best answer for this topic as it is true, because AI by itself will not take the job if you are a creator or artist producer, but if you do not learn to use AI there will be others that will be able to make betters things than you

So it would be better to learn how to use Ultraforge when is available to have a much greater possibilities to be part of the AI creative world
