Is there a way to view crash logs to see why a crash happens? I get a pretty constant crash on the 2nd image generation regardless of the text used to generate the image. Not trying to complain, just curious is there is a way to debug?

Best,
AJD

Same here on the second render crash, and I haven't found any logs yet either, no.

I was able to get a few more generations out of saving the '.ufo' out and saving it again after every single render.

I am getting a lot of crashes too - the longer the prompt, the more likely it seems to crash. Specifically adding "seamless repeat pattern" seems to cause it to crash no matter what.

Ok, no worries. Beta is beta, didn't mean to start a bug thread. Just curious if there was a log. I am on a 3070 and W10 for what it's worth.

Ultraforge just shuts down within 3 seconds of starting - I've tried to open it many times but the same problem every time. I was really looking forward to this day - but big disappointment smile:(

Yeah, keeps crashing on me too. I haven't been able to do anything other than render the default kitty.

Unless you're having the no-gen problem that Jensen61 mentioned, try saving the project file (a .ufo) right before any generation, and it'll probably work for you like it does me.

Thing is, even once you get it to generate you're stuck with one lane of gen; no blending of latent space or CLIP from anything I can find. There are a bunch of simple math expressions, but nothing that works with image data (save for a blur). Really seems like a major step backward to what free tools like Comfy can do already.

I really wanted Ultraforge to be something great. Something that could give a 'just run it and build' mentality to SD, but it seems so far and away from anything like that, and truth be told, I would love to see what the dev(s) can even build with it in its current state. Please, dev(s), show us a working example (with your nodes). Something more than a single gen of a "cute kitty" with locked in parameters like seed with no randomization; please.

I can't imagine touting that this has been "8 years in the making" when a.) its core tech is just over a year old, and b.) it falls so far behind the currently available (free and open source) tooling on the same tech.

Who said that Beta version should be non-functioning shit?
This is an absolute failure. smile:evil:
For me, as for an entrepreneur, this is just a shame to represent such a shitty product. I would have to return the money to gullible customers.
What was it? AI already works great in Photoshop. Developers, stop tormenting yourself and gullible users.

This is easily the most horriblem buggy, incomplete beta we have ever had, in our entire 20+ year history. Our plan is simple -- work on it, fix it, and make it live up to its promise. In our history we never scammed our users, as any long-time Filter Forge user will confirm -- and we plan to stay that way.

Everyone, please keep reporting any bugs you encounter -- we're fixing the most critical stuff first.

I am sorry, I was not trying to turn this thread into a gripe session. &%*# happens. Maybe a C++ redist or permissions issue under the hood. If there was some kind of log file generated on crash, we could include them. Might as well list my specs.

AMD 3960X Threadripper
64gb RAM
RTX 3070 (8 gb)
Windows 10 22H2
Installed in default location.

Let's make a different bug thread though, I don't really want to be the originator of a thread filled with people complaining.

Best Regards,
AJD

There is a log file at the %temp% folder, called Ultraforge.log

Please don't worry about that -- it's not your fault, your question was absolutely legitimate and helpful. Also, given the state of the beta, the complaints are fully justified, regardless of their form, so we'll keep listening.

Thank you -- and everyone -- for reporting the bugs!

Nice! Ok sweet. So the workaround for crashing for me is to make sure that nothing is selected when I press Render. If I do that, I can input all kinds of things and it works fine. Something is happening to cause the crash when the text to image node is selected. Honestly, a pretty easy workaround for me. Gives me a chance to try stuff out at least. After I press render I can select the node and it shows again. Also the image generates really fast!

My log is showing the following:

Ultraforge [Wed Oct 18 11:51:56 2023 -0700]
