Hi, I'm been trying to make textures (fabric patterns) for my daz clothing but everything turns out way to big of a pattern or way to blurry. I've been messing with setting for weeks now.
I'm looking for a daz user who might have some advice on setting. Thanks Kimberly |

Hello,
you probably recognize me from the DAZ forums Are you using any particular shader or the default shader that came with the clothes? The best thing is to either in FilterForge create the textures as 4096 x 4096 (and render and Normal map too, using the OpenGL setting, not Direct-X), but scale down the texture in FF to 512x512 repeats which will make it smaller but still detailed. I've used FilterForge for many of my products I have at YURDigital, this one for example: http://www.yurdigital.com/catalog/228...citystreet. If you use a specific shader you can use the horizontal and vertical tiling in the shader, but only if the shader is written to override the UV mapping. - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Yes I do recognize you
Thank you, I going to try the 512 x 512 first with a few filters then try and learn how to create texture. I'm still trying to learn on the setting on filter forge. Thanks Kimberly |

Was planning on testing textures out on DAZ Studio, this week.
FTM i was testing them in Carrara on low poly objects. Will come back here to show results, if any... gr. Patrick. Design is a strategy ! |
