I just installed FF2 beta 3. There was an option during the install to import my v1 filters. I chose not to, at least until I'd tried v2. So, now I've tried v2, and it seems like a nice upgrade, but I can't find any option to import v1 filters. I've read other posts which suggest copying them to:

Drive:\User\Application Data\Filter Forge 2\My filters and/or
Drive:\Filter Forge 2\Resources\Library.

Neither approach worked for me. Is there any way to import the v1 filters after declining to do so during installation? If not, that makes it far more difficult to evaluate the two versions side-by-side.

Also, there is mention in the docs of a built-in 'Filter Library Browser', which is shown as obsolete in the program options. I've never been aware of its existence, but I have lamented the absence of such a feature on this forum several times, going back at least a year.

there are two ways to get the earlier filters into FF2. you can simply download them all into FF2 from the online filter library or you can copy them over from FF1 to FF2. but, you'd need to supply what o/s you're running as the directories are different between the various operating systems.

as for the filter library browser, that's how i download all of my filters. it's stated in option as 'obsolete', but that's not quite right. just re-enable it in the options and when you click 'download filters' in the GUI, you'll get the filter library browser.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks for the feedback. I should have mentioned my O/S (Windows XP SP3). Please tell me where my v1 files should be copied. As for the other approach, I have way too many filters in my v1 library to get them from the website a second time.

Please try to copy the Library folder, Library.xml and LibraryStructure.xml from
\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Filter Forge\System\
to
\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Filter Forge 2\System\
