Could Filter Forge Inc make "Filter creating challenges" and win a FF?

I do not know if FF Inc. would agree with this and will want to make it.

But I have thought of a possible idea that could be done for promoting and make people more interested to make filters and have the opportunity to win one FF licence.

I could call it "Filter Forge Challenges"

HOW WOULD IT WORK

FF Inc. could propose and suggest a filter that has not been done yet, and the challenge is to build and submit the filter as fast as possible to the FF company AND also it will be taken into account the quality of the filter construction and the perfomance of the filter and render speed.

So it would win the first person that has been able to submit the filter finished BUT that it ALSO have the best quality construction and optimized components and have the best perfomance and render speed.

So I think this would encourage that you must LEARN AND MASTER all the components of the filter editor and KNOW how to mix them in the best possible way and keep in mind the perfomance speed and the good ways to build a filter.

FOR FILTER IDEAS OR SUGGESTION TO MAKE THE CHALLENGE

Perhaps and probably Filter forge do not want to spend time on thinking about what filter could be suggested for the challenge, and so I thought that there could be a forum thread open to "Suggest your ideas for a new FF filter" and we could vote for it, OR that from the list of suggested filters FF Inc. could choose the one that they think it could be best fitted for the challenge.

WHEN TO DO IT

This could be done just once, or it could be done probably once a month.

ALSO MAKE A DEADLINE DATE INSTEAD OF THE FASTEST

Perhaps the fastest maker of the filter could be a very experienced and expert filter forger and so the beginners that still need to learn would not have the opportunity to send filters for the challenge because others more expert will do it in less time.

So it could be put a fixed deadline and all the filters submitted before that deadline would then analized and choose the best one without taking into account the submitting date

IF FILTER FORGE INC DOES NOT WANT TO SPEND TIME ON TESTING THE FILTERS SUBMITTED

Perhaps FF Inc. does not want to spend time testing and looking for the best filter submitted, so probably the filters could be put in a thread for us to download, and we would be able to test them ourselves and we could give our own opinions about it and choose the one we consider best, and then vote for the best one.

To avoid friendship misleading and preference, and voting to someone you know over an unknown creator, the filters could be put a NUMBER instead of the author name, and FF Inc will keep in secret the corresponding numbers list with the author that it belongs, so when voting and chosing the filter would be based on the filter itself and not on the author.

ahhh those were the days...Do a search in the fourms SpaceRay for "contest"....I will not go into all that here.....As carl said that horse has been buried long ago........
