I just downloaded ver. 3.0 and liking the program and all the great filter effects I purchased the basic version license. The program in 'tools-options' still gives me the choice between single core and multi-core usage even though the comparison sheet between the different versions says that multi-core is just in the pro version. Does the pro actually run faster, or if I'm not interested in the other enhancements, am I just as well off with the basic version?
The Basic edition supports up to two cores (and can be limited to a single core if you need to), while the Pro edition supports unlimited cores.
I'd recommend you compare the speed of the free trial (which works as a Pro Edition) and the speed of Basic on your computer, so that you can decide if the speed difference is worth paying extra.
