Filters removed from the library...

I've noticed that sometimes filters disappear from the library and you end up with a copy in 'My Filters'. Could they have been removed at the request of the author &/or do FF staff remove them for other reasons?

Yess, sometimes authors ask us to remove a certain filter. We can also remove a filter for other reasons, eg. a copycat filter that somehow passed through the submission screening.
