Filter Forge and Photoshop

I bought FF and Photoshop CS5. I installed FF a few weeks ago and have now installed PS but PS cannot see or find FF.

Is there a way to scan for plugins in PS or a workaround to installing FF as a plugin? I can reinstall but am worried I will lose all the filters I have slowly collected and customised.

If you have installed Photoshop AFTER installing Filter Forge, Photoshop will NOT have the filter forge plugin becuase it is installed when you make the Filter Forge installation.

You can´t scan for the search of plugins, BUT there is a possible workaround that could work.

You must find the .8bf file which contains the Filter Forge plugin and then copy it to the plugins folder of Photoshop, so then is possible that Photoshop can see Filter Forge.

The filter Library is just ONLY ONE, this is shared between the standalone and the plugin

REINSTALL AGAIN FILTER FORGE

The other possible thing is to reinstall Filter Forge, and then it will find the Photoshop and will install the plugin automatically when detected.

I think that if you install filter Forge OVER the previous one, in exactly the same place and folder should not be any problem with the library, because it will be in the same place.

Anyway if you want you can make a backup of all the filters you have.
