Stupid diagonal lines ruining my filter

I want these exact squares, but not the diagonal lines...



(I realize I could just remove the blur but the point is to extract specific data from the random tile.)

Pretty good ken. The only problem is the squares now have rough edges in some areas.

I did a version which seem to get rid of the artifacts (rough edges and occasional stray pixel -- see variation 20000). But it shrinks the squares slightly more than Ken's version. (I just added a blur before the last threshold with a radius of something like 0.0001.)

Ok, I made a version that doesn't screw things up much at all other than a very slight rounding.

Nice fix.
By the way, clever use of the tile component (and same goes for that Nodes filter you made). I may have to experiment with the idea sometime. smile:)
