It also locks up Photoshop CC 2015 so I have to kill it via the Task Manager.

I am having the exact same problem, but only after installing Filter Library Backup 4.0. I get this error message:

"<class XFW::Kernel::StdException> bad allocation" I have 16GB RAM, and still had over half of that reported as free when the program crashes with the error message above. I am also running Windows 10 x64 with all updates installed. I have tried running the program with Admin credentials, but it crashes all the same. Please help. I bought the program but cannot start it. |

Ok, I've figured out why Filter Forge was crashing after installing the Library Backup. It cannot allocate enough memory to index over 11,000 files at once.

I didn't see the other thead on this: https://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...&TID=13136 The easy solution is to remove half the library files from the folder, run FF, close it, add a few more files, and repeat the process until FF has indexed all 11,000+ files. I have tried doing this in only 2 passes, but that will still crash the program. I then added the files in smaller groups and it worked. Takes longer, but it seems to be the only way to have it done. |

Mine was doing it only on loading one effect when I clicked it on the FilterForge website. My image was big but only half the Pro max settings.

@Kyle: saying that something just "crashes" doesn't really help to troubleshoot the issue. Please provide detailed description of what you're doing and what error message you get.
