Hi Everybody,

I'm trying to download a filter that I want to use, and am clicking on the hyperlink which says "Open this filter in Filter Forge". However, when I click on it nothing happens. In Google Chrome nothing happens on the screen whatsoever, wearers Internet Explorer simply shows the little spinning animation on the left side of the tab (where the webpage title is displayed), which then proceeds to spin indefinitely without doing anything. Has anyone come across this same problem, and/or do you have any suggestions? Really hoping somebody can help.

Many thanks

Matt

I am having the same or similar problem. When trying to download filters the program cannot connect to Filter Forge servers this morning. I did download a filter from it about an hour ago at around 8:00 am EST.

I'm entirely unable to download filters.

I'm able to update existing filters, so neither the network nor the server availability is the issue for me.

However, the URL pointed to by the filter button seems new. (I believe it used to link to FF via a file extension whereas now it tries to do it via its protocol identifier) Anyway, the new way doesn't work for me.

Firefox simply does nothing. Explorer complains about an unknown application.

Try reinstalling your version of FF. The association that is missing is to file type filterforge with file extenstion ffxml. Reinstalling will not lose any of your previously saved filters or work.

Makes sense and safer than playing with the registry, I guess.

But am I dreaming or did the URL structure recently change?

The URL structure hasn't changed for the last several years.

Hello,

When I try to download filters I get this error:

Initial data download failed. Reason: 'get_rating_info() failed.'

Any suggestions?
