I just purchased and installed Filter Forge 6 and have two issues with Photoshop CS3.

First, whenever I start PS3 I get an error message, although PS3 appears to continue to start and run normally.
Then, once I'm in PS I go to filters but there is no FF listed. I can see that FF is installed in my Program Files folder and that the it is also in my CS3 plugin folder in Program Files (x86). I can start up the FF stand-alone program fine, although I have yet to try it out. Any ideas on what is causing (and what will solve) my issues? Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Service Pack 1 Beth

CS3... haven't heard about this version for quite a while.

Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? Please make sure you're not accidentally running a wrong version, for example from \Program Files (and not from \Program Files (x86). Also, I'm afraid we can't help you with your Photoshop issue - please contact Adobe with that. |

Instead, for Windows you might try to download the missing driver. If it is dbghelp-xfw.dll, which seems to be the one giving lots of folks trouble, safe download at http://www.dll-download-system.com. If the site is no longer available, you'll need to look around. After you download the "*.DLL"(file extension dll) onto your machine, copy it to Windows/System32 for a 32bit OS, or Windows/SysWOW64 for 64bit OS. Voila! You may need to register the driver with Windows, I did not and it works fine. Murphy Fine Arts |
