Hi.
I'd appreciate help: I'm trying FF6 (v6.006). I can run FF6 standalone. The problem is to run FF6 as PS filter. When I run it from Photoshop CC 2015.5 filter, there is an error message: "Could not complete the Filter Forge 6 command because of a problem with the filter module interface." (snapshot: http://i.imgur.com/25VjN71.png) How to make FF6 to work as PS filter properly? Thanks for assistance, Carlos |

Did you copy the plugin files manually? Please reinstall FF and enable the checkbos that prompts you to install a Photoshop plugin.

I cannot seem to get Filter Forge to work as a plug-in in Photoshop either. I am running an old 32bit version (V7 I believe) of Photoshop, but FF V5 worked fine in it, and V6 does not show up now. I tried reinstalling it, and that did not solve the problem. Any advice ?

You can place the plug-in manually:
- Download Filter Forge and install the standalone version. - Create a folder named "Filter Forge 6" in the Plug-Ins\Filters folder of your Photoshop. - Copy two files from "C:\Program Files\Filter Forge 6\Plugin\" into the folder you created. - Run Photoshop, and Filter Forge should be there in the filter list. |

Hi, I tried that with both the normal (32bit) and 64 bit .8bf and .config files, and got no results. FF6 doesn't show up.

Sorry jffe, I'm out of ideas. While automatic installer can fail, manual installation has always helped. Maybe other users can suggest something.
Just a note: the 64-bit plugin is not supposed to work with a 32-bit host by definition. |

I get that most folks have the latest version of Photoshop, but for those that don't is this just the end ? And if FF will never be usable again from here on out, can we get a version of FF5 that is able to be installed alongside of FF6 (and FF7/8/etc.) so we can at least use our old library of filters in our old-and-already-paid-for version(s) of Photoshop ?

OK, I figured mine out. I re-installed a previous version of FF alongside the FF6 and now it is showing in my Photoshop again.

Quick follow up, it's kind of weird, but I installed FFV5, and now when I open Photoshop (my old V7 or whatever it is) it shows -Filter Forge- under the filters list, and then it offers me the use of V5 or V6. Kind of odd that adding-back V5 now makes V6 show up as well. But hey, all's well that ends well.
