My problem is now solved but, for any future trouble-shooters, here is the story.
I have Filter Forge versions; 2, 5, 6 & 7 installed on my computer and they all work perfectly.
I installed Filter Forge version 8 (8.003 and later 8.004) (on the same computer) and when I tried to open/execute the program, absolutely nothing would happen. No hourglass, it wouldn't pop up in the Task Manager for even a second, etc, etc.
Yes, I tried every Compatibility option and no I am not running a Virtual Machine.
Let me say again; FF versions 2, 5, 6 & 7 continued to work perfectly this whole time, on the same exact machine (and for years before this).
After MUCH investigation and googling;
Turned out, my Windows Service named "Workstation" was Disabled. I enabled it and FF 8 now works perfectly.
So, I am posting this here just in case someone in the future has the similar, weird problem.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
(My OS and all my hardware have the latest/greates updates, etc)
