I'm having crashes without error message when downloading filters from the library.
FF simply closes once the filter ends to download.
It is exactly the same problem already said for FF 8.006.
8.006 crashes
It randomly happens, but rather frequently (about 1 time every 2-3 filters downloads).

I think the problem is somewhere "between" downloading a filter and its first display in FF. With the second, third display of a (already downloaded) filter, everything is OK.

Is this still happening?

what FF 9 version is not working and have crashes?

but for the FF team to fix it there should be a way to reproduce and know it exactly happens and why, as you say that it is a random thing, do not know why or when it could happen

It's very, very strange.

A few days earlier, 8 new filters:

First opened FF, in a window.
Then download filters from www.
All downloaded correctly.
FF enlarged to fullscreen.
One filter update found, after FF download crashes.

Today, 2 new filters:
FF opened in window, all downloaded correctly.

I'm almost thinking that if FF isn't maximized (1920 * 1200 for me), the program won't crash after downloading. I'll wait for more filters to be released and try downloading in both the window and the maximized FF.

Now I have FF 9.006, Professional Edition.
The problem exists for several months, with FF 8 too.

Try a different resolution on the monitor and try the same steps again....Yes I know it sounds odd but I have seen some odd stuff as far as bugs......
Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times!

Yes, I can confirm what you said.

Today I tried to download 6 filters with FF in full screen mode and 6 filters with FF in a smaller window.
The first case I got 6 crashes. The second case it downloaded all 6 filters without any crash.

And also, if the filter is already downloaded, even I open FF in full screen and I click on "Open this filter in Filter Forge", the filter correctly opens without any crash. Then the problem appears only when downloading a filter the first time and only with FF in full screen.

siSINka, if you still experience the issue please send the full bug report to the support team. We need to compare it with the one Ramlyn sent to us.

Since I have not maximized the FF window, the problem has not occurred.

I tried to maximize the FF window, then close the FF window, then download a new filter. Everything was without problems.

We have released a silent update that should alleviate (if not solve completely) certain crashes when loading filters. If you still experience the issue please re-download and reinstall FF from the download page.

I get this same problem. Today there were filter updates (wallpaper group) and I started the download -- it appeared to finish, FF vanished. Been doing this for several months. v9.006 x64.

It happens with any filter?

You say that it already started to download and when it seems to finish it crashes, so I wonder if when you start FF again the filter has already been downloaded? to see it you can open FF again and try to download it again.

When downloading the filters do you have FF already open? Or it is open when you try to download?

Have you tried to download the latest version of v9.006 today?

Yes, FF is already open and yes when restarting FF all the new filters are present and work OK.

My current version is 9.006 and when I check for updates it says "no updates available", so I assume I have the silent update?

It has not been solved, and this still happens when you try to download a filter in latest version 9.06 from now, it will crash if you do not have FF already open

DO NOT HAVE FF ALREADY OPEN

1-Go to filter forge website using any browser (have tested 3)
2-Select any filter that you want to download
3-Click open this filter in FF
4-Activate cookies
5-FF 9 will open and will connect to the server and start downloading the filter
6-FF crashes

If FF 9 is already open, it will download correctly the filter without crashing at least when it is on a windows and not full screen, I have yet to test it in full screen
