Is there a way to download this manually? Could someone send me the link if so? It won't let the program update automatically. Thanks.

Only one problem with that link. It makes me install it again, but this time it gives me a trial instead of using my information. Anotherwords, it erases my name and serial from the program and uses the updated version. I need the actual update and not the reinstaller.

Well I try, but it tells me it's invalid. After spending this much money on a program, I would like it to at least work.

the way i've gotten all my updates is by simply going to download more filters. before it allows me to do that, it notifies me that i need to update. i say 'ok' and it then starts the download and install process. this normally doesnt take too long, 5 to 15 minutes or so, and that's it. it simply closes FF down during the install and when the install is done, i simply restart FF. i dont even have to reboot windows.

Thats the auto update. It does that, but tells me there is an error and it stops downloading. It's getting really frustrating right now and support isn't responding.

ok, dont know why it would stop midstream. that doesnt happen to me. post the error message you get. maybe someone will know.
and give support a chance. they will respond. they're normally pretty good about this sort of thing. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I did. It continues to give me the same error, or it reverts it to the trial version, erases my serial name and key, then if I try to put it in it tells me it's invalid. Everytime... Looks like I might have to buy it again.

hmm, shldnt have to buy it again. have you tried uninstalling filter forge and re-installing? sounds like FF itself may be corrupted. it shdlnt erase your registration info under any circumstances.
also, what version of FF do you have? (and do i need to ask if it's a legitimate copy?). and what o/s are you running it on? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I don't know the version. I downloaded it off a different website and it's legitimate I think... I'm running it on Vista. Also, I have un-installed it and re-installed it, the new updated version from here, and it still didn't work correctly. I learned that I had 1.009.

Download.com is where I saw it at. I guess it was version 1.01 when I got it. Maybe it wasn't version 1.009. Huh... Well anyways, there you go. |

oh, that's the trial version and not a very recent one at that. i'd suggest getting the trial version from here, the FF site and installing that.

There are lots of those 3rd party nonsense sites that give away demos, I fail to understand how they are any different from the 8,000,000,000 wikipedia rip off pages or fake adbot search engines. If they do not update the demos, then they are not really "helping" the original software sellers any as witnessed here. Anyways, yeah, like Krae said, always grab the official site download.
