I downloaded Filter Forge and then signed up as a beta tester on the 28th of november, I'm wondering if there might be a problem? how long do I have to wait for the license key?

Normally, it's no more than 24 hours. Most probably, the email with your key just didn't reach you (possibly because you provided an invalid email address in your user profile - please check it).

Please write to me via the contact form at http://www.filterforge.com/contact/ and I'll issue a new key for you.

That's my job smile;)

Depends on what kind of feedback you mean.

For bug reports, there's a built-in bug report form which activates when an error occurs (luckily, it's not so often now smile8) ). Alternatively, you can post error messages or other problems with Filter Forge, if any, here on the forum in "Bugs and Problems". For suggestions, there is the "Feature Wishlist" forum.

Also, you can send any comments or questions via the contact form.

Speaking of "beta testing", since it's about to be released here in a month or two, what happens then ? As far as us beta testers and folks posting in the forums and making filters who haven't bought/can't afford the full commercial release, and haven't earned one yet through the filter popularity reward system. I'd love to have the program, but there's no way I could justify spending that much for it since it is strictly a hobby and for fun ya know. But were I allowed to keep using to make filters, even if the output were limited, I would choose that route until I someday hopefully earned a free copy. And this isn't a threat or something, but what's going to happen otherwise is, I'm most likely not ever going to make any more filters if I happen to earn the free copy a year down the road, because I will have lost any real interest or knowledge of the program by then. If FF is taken away from me when the commercial release hits the cyber shelves, then it's just over for me, and people like me who can't/won't be buying it. So yeah, is there a plan in mind for that particular type of situation ?

Soon after the commercial release, or even before that - as soon as we have enough time for proper investigation and summarizing - we'll announce who gets what and give out the rewards (free copies and discounts).

Currently, there are two ways to get a reward - help us with beta testing or make some good filters. Those who don't manage to earn themselves a reward via these two ways before the commercial release - well, the sad truth is they'll have to go and buy Filter Forge or spend the rest of their lives suffering without it. smile:(

Perhaps there'll be other chances - new beta programs, for instance. Surely we'll have a beta for Mac version. Also, perhaps there will be a possibility to buy Filter Forge and get a refund afterwards in case you earn a free copy.
