premature logout

hi guys,

i mentioned this a while back and someone indicated somehow that this might be fixed. but, it still seems to persist.

when i log into the forums here, i'll often be somewhat idle for a half hour or more. usually not much more than that, but sometimes. this often occurs when i'm writing a long post from scratch and not just copying something from notepad. i've learned to save what i'm typing to the clipboard before hitting the post button. because, when i do hit the post button, i find i've been logged out automatically by some internal timer. so, i have to log back in, hit reply again, and paste my saved clipboard response and then hit the post button.

if this could be changed a bit it would be great. i dont know if this is something to do with my browser settings, cookies, directx or what, but it's somewhat annoying. if it's something i can change on my end, please let me know. if it's something on your end, please, change it to last a bit longer or even indefinitely unless i leave the site by going somewhere else or simply by closing the browser. i'm using i.e. 6 that came with windows xp home.
