I'm on Windows 7 and I'm using Photoshop CS6 (64bit). Photoshop and Filter Forge were both installed on my Z drive (not my C drive).
The copy of Filter Forge was won a while back after 3 of my filters were downloaded and used frequently enough to warrant reward points. So it's a free copy. However, when I try to use it in Photoshop it doesn't even show up in the filter list and when I try to use the standalone version, it prompts me to try the free trial or purchase. I've tried copying the Filter Forge folder to my Photoshop plugins folder and that did not work. I also tried fiddling around with the "additional plugins folder" option and that did not work either. Can someone help me out please? I am a professional artist and this is my career so it's kinda serious. Sure I can live without FF but it frequently makes things A LOT easier and a lot more convenient, especially for all the maps I need to churn out on a daily basis. It's a very important tool to me and it is frustrating that I cannot get it to work on my new computer. I am fairly certain I would shoot myself in the face with a volcano if I couldn't do art. |

If it asks you to try the free trial or purchase that means that you need to put in your serial number....If that does not work nor can remember the serial then you need to the contact the FF team from contact tab above and to the right......
Or better yet.... http://www.filterforge.com/contact/ Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Thanks but do you have any idea why I can't get it to work with Photoshop?

Well from what I remember PS6 is a little different...Try this..
Photoshop Fix Maybe If you have an old version of PS you can select that plug-in folder as an additional plug-ins folder....This is a setting in PS6...You might be able to also select the FF Plug-in folder as another additional folder as well... ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

I solved the problem by downloading a new version of the .exe from FilterForge. My exe was out of date apparently. I think.
