Hello,

Could someone please help me out. smile:cry: I just purchased Filter Forge 6.0 recently. I downloaded the program from the website & installed it on my computer Window 64-bit x64 4GB 8.0/8.1 Intel Core i5 2.6 GHz. I entered the LKN. The installation went smoothly, as far as I know. No crashes or hang ups during installation. My problem is, when I went to Open a filter in Filter Forge 6.0, I received this message instead in my Firefox browser.

"The address wasn't understood

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (filterforge) isn't associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address."

I checked for updates for FF & it installed 1 new update, which didn't fix the problem.

The funny thing is, I had no problem opening up filters in Filter Forge 3.0 with my Firefox browser, which I've been using still yesterday, until I today uninstalled FF 3.0 (x86 32-bit), & installed Filter Forge 6.0 (x64 64-bit) in it's place.

Please help, I'm truly stumped at what the cause is & what to do next? Do I need to add a path or file to the browser or the program folder smile:?:

I do not work for Filter Forge but seems that this has been coming up in other threads as well..I suggest reinstalling Filter Forge 3 if you still have it or try version 5......Then after the install check again to see if you can download the filters....An earlier version might restore those protocols for now....

Version 2 and 3
