Tested in FF 6.006.
When the source image is not square, the gradient doesn't scale, and as a result, there is a noticeable seam where it resets.



Minor related bug: The small previews, if using the editor with such a source image, are likewise horizontally crushed and thus unreliable, as also seen in the image above.

Free Gradient is what you want to use for the non-square filters. The profile gradients have been around since the beginning and the profile gradients were
supposed to do that....Tile seamless....If you want the image itself to tile seamless you need more work and more components... smile:)
If you open an image that is square then the profile gradient will be correct....

Here is a compare with a non-square size image.....The profile gradient vs the free gradient....
