I downloaded FF7 and when I run the installer, it doesn't recognize my PS install; it only shows "Stand alone" in the components list.

Does it not work with CS5? That would be bad news for me. I use CS 5 because I own that version of the creative suite and I don't like the monthly fees, and I have a lifetime license for FF. |

You can use FF7 in the standalone mode or under a supported host application:

I have exactly the same problem as Furiant - as a FF user of many years I am extremely disappointed to discover the latest version that I paid upgrade for will not work as a plug-in with CS5. I feel very "caught out" by this, and to make matters worse, the licence key supplied to me for FF6 does not work, so it seems I lose out all ways.

This is what trial versions are for. If you're afraid the software doesn't suit your needs you should install the free trial version and check it over before buying.
A license key for FF6 is not supposed to work with FF7. Every Filter Forge version requires a different license key. |
