After downloading the whole filter library at once, it occured to me that maybe I shouldn't have! Suddenly, roughly 1.800 new filters are displayed in that striking bold 'hey I'm new here please click me' font. Gah! There's no way I'd manually click myself through this deluge...
Conclusion: a) We need a 'Mark all filters as clicked' option! b) We need a 'Revert to factory filters' option! c) We need a good health insurance that covers RSI. ![]() ![]() ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Hahah, this is gonna be one of those netlore anecdotes future generations of Filter Forgers will tell each other, ya just know it.
![]() That gives me an idea, tho: I do wish Filter Forge had a category where it showed my filters by date I downloaded them. Sometimes I download several brand-spankin' new ones and can't wait to try 'em out, then lose 'em amidst all my others. I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

Simply delete the library folder in the storage folder and restart FF, and the list will be automatically populated with the default filter library contents which are stored in Program Files. |

Good tip. Everything worked fine again after I deleted the whole 'system' folder in 'user\application_data\filter_forge'.

+2 good tip ![]() Personally, regarding download of the entire library, I wouldn't do it because it just makes it harder to find things. I find it easy and efficient to just download what I want when I want it, delete it when I'm done, and then just go back and download it again if I need it. For me, it keeps the file system simplified and scroll searching to a minimum.....while ensuring that I'm using the most recent update of the filter if I forget to check for updates..... Steve

My experience exactly. Plus FF takes longer to load and becomes a little sluggish. I'm glad to be back to 'Less is More'... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Good point.....I didn't think of it that way. I have all catagories to a minimum, but "My Filters" is loaded. I'm going to try manually putting alot of them in another folder to see if it helps..... Steve

How about a tagging feature for filters? Tagging is all the rage. This would be more powerful than 'show my favorites' in a given category.. and could integrate into- or replace the current filter categories.
