I'm not sure if It is this way that Offset Component works or if It is happening just with me, but I swear that I think It should work different. Follow the simples steps:

1. Drag the 'External Image'.
2. Drag the 'Offset'
3. Connect the 'External Image' output in the 'Offset' source input.
4. Now slide the Offset H until (-50 or 50).

There we go! The image is flipped horizontally and I think It should be repeated instead of being flipped. The same situation happens for vertical, It flip the image up-side-down. Am I wrong?

If It's normal, how can I slide an Image horizontally/vertically like offset, but repeating the image instead of flipping It?

This is not related to Offset. The "flipping" you describe is caused by the different behaviors of the External > Image component. It behaves differently depending on the state of the Seamless Tiling checkbox in filter controls.

When Seamless Tiling is off, the Image component "mirrors" its contents beyond the picture edges -- this is done to avoid edge artifacts on Effect-type filters. Try any distortion effect on a non-seamless background to see what I mean.

When Seamless Tiling is on, the Image component simply repeats its contents, as you expected to see.

What a fast reply. smile:) Vlad, setting as on, really repeated, but how do I do what I want without leaving the Seamless On once the effect I'm working on isn't to be seamless?

Maybe FF programmers would add into the Offset component option to checkbox something like 'Work as Seamless' even External Seamless is off.

Thanks for all explanations.

Maybe there is another way to do that -- could you describe what you're trying to do in a few words?

Ok, here I go: Check out the 'Photo Frame Close-up 1' effect I've submitted and look at the 1st close-up area for example (the little square on the left top). If you uncheck the 'Seamless Tiling', It flips the image. So, this effect shouldn't be seamless, no big deal being seamless, but It was created to not be. Well, I'd like to scroll horizontally/vertically each images into the each close-up areas whitout showing flipped at certain moments/slide values. So, in sum, I'd like to scroll them as It scrolls when checked as seamless, but not being a seamless.

Was It few words? smile:)

Cheers,
Lucato.
