Ah hah! I didn't read far enough down in the forum posts. Am having the same problem, but would rather voice it along with a much more reasonable-sounding person.

 Thanks!

We've uploaded a hotfix that should eliminate the issue. Please re-download Filter Forge 1.020 from the download page.

I reinstalled Filter Forge from the program disk, then went to the download library... got a prompt to update... downloaded that, and afterward successfully downloaded a filter from the library.

The only bad thing about all this is that while casting around last night, I went ahead and downloaded 2.0 -- I sure hope the upgrade from 1.0 pro isn't going to be that expensive, cause I reallllly liked 2.0!

Good news, my Filterforge does run, if I click

Filter Forge x86.exe (from the explorer) ....
Bad news, my Filterforge does not run, if I click it normal (START BUTTON -> Programms) and it also not run if I start it from Photoshop
Okay, if I use Filter Forge x86.exe (when it runs) from the Explorer I have one entry in the taskmanager calling Filter Forge x86.exe.
If I start Filterforge "normal" from Start/Programs ... filterforge 1.020 does not work and I have two entrys in the taskmanager calling Filter Forge.exe and Filter Forge x86-SSE2.exe
What should I do, that my system starts Filter Forge x86.exe and not Filter Forge x86-SSE2.exe??? sorry for my bad english - I'm from Germany

			zeropaint,

it sounds like you put the old, bugged 1.020 back instead of the new 1.020. i'd double check that. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

ok, but I have deinstalled the buggy (automatic-update version) and installed the (fixed?) 1.020 Version (before I installed the new Version of FF 1.020, I removed FF 1.020 with (START -> SYSTEMSTEUERUNG -> SOFTWARE ... sorry, thats the German Version of Windows)

And, I did also try the Betaversion of FF 2.x ... the same problems
And last but not least, I can start FF 1.020 with click on "Filter Forge x86.exe" / in the explorer, but its totaly slow ... and not a good option ...
 kindly regards

I would suggest doing an advanced "complete" uninstall of FF (select and delete all associated registry values) with "Revo Uninstaller" (CNET freeware @ download.com).....and then do a fresh FF install again...... Steve

Since last update, when I execute the program, my antivirus Panda Cloud hangs and FF never starts, using 100% CPU.

Please can you provide a download link to the last version of FF before the last update, till you fix this?

Seems that one disconnects the option in panda to "Automatic management of possible viruses" this does not happen. You may want to tell Panda company to ignore Filter Forge in their next release.
