Always getting a white square at the end

When I create a new filter that is seamless, I wait for the presets to show up, then I click on "Show original" and a white square appears in the center of my image instead of the original image.

Depends on what type of filter it is and if you have loaded an image or even have an image component connected in the filters tree......If you had created new image from the menu then that would be the background that was chosen....
