Err meant to say "Allow the changing the default settings OF components"

For example the "Free Gradient" component by default is rendered at a weird angle. You could change the default settings so that it always starts with a nice horizontal.

Yeah, some of the default settings don't make any sense at all!
And you have to keep changing them to something reasonable so you could work with them, and then fine tune later.
I never really found a good use for an orange, fuzzy, off-center ellipse... I can think of many uses for a B\W perfect circle smile;)
