i've made a few filters where a given switch only applies when the selector is in the proper position. i'd like to have it so that switches like that get ghosted out when the selector of a switch component is not selected to that node that has the switch.

the reason for this is that the user sees a control in his interface and tries to use it and it doesnt do anything...seemingly. so, he thinks, 'well, that doesnt work'. so he never tries it again. by ghosting the control when it's not available and un-ghosting it when it is, this would be a visual reference for the user that the switch sometimes does not work with other functions.

Yes that is a good idea. I know that if I had used something where a slider did not work or just didn't seem to do anything I might not touch it again.
