I would expect the eyedropper color picker to pick what I see. It seems the "Before / After" slider isn't taken into account:

I think that the eyedropper is right, because it takes the color of the active and actual image you are working on, and not from any previous version of the image, I mean that it will only use the real working image and not any of the before versions.

How will you get a color from the original image then?

The before/after slider provides you with an option to visually see how things was before processing. You may want to pick themed colors from the original for a filters color parameters.

This behavior is by design, so I moved the thread. It is actually a good suggestion to put on the feature wishlist.

The easiest way is to open Filter Editor and lock to the Image component. I agree it's not very user-friendly.
