One feature I'd like to see (though 64-bit and OpenCL are much more important IMO) is support for a render queue. Especially when you consider just how long it takes to render textures - it's a huge pain to lose the ability to do anything with the program while the texture is rendering.
I would love to be able to tweak and get the settings the way I like, then hit the Save As dialog to fire off the full resolution render into a queue, and then re-gain access to the application. That would let me either continue to tinker with designs or iterations of a particular texture, or just plain start browsing the amazing filters to find the next thing I need to work on. It would be really wonderful to be able to stack up a handful of renders, then be able to walk away and let the machine run unattended. |

Have you tried the command-line renderer? Sure, it's not interactive, but it definitely allows you to set up a handful of renders and walk away.

As I am a complete newbie to the program, would it be possible for someone to please provide some instructions and examples on setting up the command line renderer?
Many thanks. Winner Jean Bogan Piano Composition Competition 2016

There is already a render queue available now to be used with Filter forge but is not the software itself, it is available thanks to the amazing work of these authors that already uses the command line rendered automatically and with a great and beautiful GUI based interface
FFEasyRender - GUI based batch renderer by FFCreator Batch GUI Window Tool by aba but it seems that the download link is not working now. If you have Photoshop there is also a way to do it with actions if you want How to Batch Render ONE image with multiple separate filters results? |

A list of various tools is at the External Filter Forge Tools section of the wiki (I wrote ffBatch.exe)
