It might be nice to have a few organizational components when presenting the user control interface (the controls the end user sees when using a filter).

For example a simple line/separator component that you could add and move with the "Order of Controls" to separate groups of controls. Or similarly maybe a 'frame' that could expand or collapse a group of controls. This could be useful for some filters that have a lot of component properties exposed to the user. So you might add all tiling options to one of these containers with title 'Tile Controls' and make the interface neater.

Other ideas could be a 'Title' UI control that would simply allow a title instead of the line for separation ie "Tiling Components" and a "Help" UI component so that a user could add an option blob of text to a set of controls that would show a '?' Help icon and when hover show text. ie "Use these controls to change the orientation of the overlay pattern."

I imagine these controls could be light weight enough to not bog down the filter but not sure. Hope this is all clear.

I like this very much this suggestions from Burt, although this is not the only one that is on the forum, and there is more threads with similar request and suggestions and none of them have been yet included in the possible list of features for FF 4.0, and do not think that they will be included.

Since the first post has been already 3 years, and probably will there be more years until this may be included

This was requested in 2010 and we are already in 2018 and there is no news about this yet

This was suggested in 2010 and I do not understand why this really simple thing is not already available in 2020 for FF 9 and there is no news that it will be in FF 10
