My thoughts on Curves:

I love the automatic curve settings, However, I would like an option for a more hands on approach to curves. I get this idea from a freeware program I have, in which you start with a positive sloped line and you can click where you want to bend the curve. When you click a certain point on the curve grid the straight line becomes a curve with its starting point set at (0,0) by default and its ending point at (100,100) by default.

This allows more control to get the exact curve that one desires, and it also inables the user to see how colors and tones are effected by different curves, thus leading to larger quantities of exceptional filters. I am not saying trash the current curve system, because I think it rocks. What I am saying is I would like one more curve setting, namely a point and click custimizable curve system.

Let me know what you think about a customizable curve function...

Bézier-based (or any other spline with certain continuity characteristics) curves were discussed internally and got postponed to some future major version.
