The hair/fur feature can be implemented as a separate filter type (Simple, Surface, Hair), but this is not on our plan at the moment.

At present stretching the cell noise works fairly well for this effect.

I'd prefer Perlin because it is a lot faster than Cells. |

Any news on Hair and Fiber modules? Would be great to be able to make realistic grass simply in FF

They won't be included in 1.0. As for future releases, this feature is already on our list, but it is currently on low priority. |

It would be interesting to see what features are in the curent pipeline
Its apparent many are on the table but not what ones can be expected in relativly new releases lets all whine for a wine port |
