When using FF with other programs (especially 3D), it would be nice to have Something like a "Save for..." menu with would let me create a sort of output template for various uses that would indicate which maps I want to save, what format and save options would be used by default, a naming convention, and any options like Normal map settings etc.

So for example I might create a profile named "Maxwell Material" that says I want to save a Diffuse and a Normal map, in .TGA format, named <prefix>_DIF.TGA and <prefix>_NOR.TGA. I would then simply select File->Save for->Maxwell Material and it would ask me for the <prefix> part of the filename and the output location and then generate and save each of the maps in one go.

Thanks again for listening.

sounds like a good idea.

i'll add to this by re-iterating a request i made a while back. i'd like to also be able to do a 'save for web' where i can alter the compression to a final file size value i can see. this would be handy for saving and then posting to various web sites where there is a limit on file sizes.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
