Locking Components

Since I have been working on a filter with a lot of components there is one feature that I think no one has touched on but would be cool to have ,at least for me. Is have a Lock Component where once you position a component and its subtree in the edit workspace you can lock it so it will not move from that position until you unlock it.

Sometimes I try to go to fast in scrolling and grab another component and move it. It really stinks if I have move subtree checked then it ends up moving the whole thing then I have to go back and reposition everything. smile:(

Have you tried <Ctrl><z> ?
I'm not sure how many history states FF has, but it usually gets me out of trouble.

The "history states" are limited only by available memory, there's no hard limit right now, although we'll impose one in the next release, and that would be around 10000 actions or so.

This has also saved me many times. Not only in FF but other apps as well. The only trouble with this is. (I also should pay more attention to what I do also) One that I had was I was finishing up a section of a filter that I was making and noticed that one other section has some components misaligned. I should have caught that but when I noticed I had finished that section and no longer was looking at it. The filter is huge by the way. The problem is if I were to use UNDO that would have also undid all the steps I also took from that point when these components became misaligned. Which I was not sure at which point it happened.
