Input & Output indicators on component icons

This is a request for something that would help newer people out. I know I could still use it a bit.

The icons for the components don't give me a good indication of what their inputs and outputs are. So I have to drop one on the canvas to see if I can use it or not. I've attached an image of something that, while only cosmetic, would be helpful in visually recognizing what each control takes as inputs and has as outputs.

I've learned a few controls well enough that I don't need it any more, but the ones I've yet to use are still unfamiliar to me. This would help me 'play' a bit more as I could see how I could replace a particular component with another easily.
