I am doing some off-setting of an image and noticed that when I off-set the image twice it fliped the image upside down. I am not using gradiants or curves just plain ol' Offset V and Offset H. What I think is really wierd is that if I make an image in FF and offset it within FF itself it doesn't flip the image. Here is the filter, try loading an image of your own in and see how it flips the image but if you look at the guts of the filter the gradiant cube is not flipped. Wierd or am I missing something.

I'm too lazy to look at your filter right now but I'm pretty sure this has to do with tiling being turned off.

So am I. This one had me scratching my head for hours the first time, for this is not a very obvious thing:
If you have seamless tiling turned ON, the image will repeat without flipping. If you have seamless tiling turned OFF, the image will repeat mirrored. It's a great feature, ONCE you know it is a feature. Before it, you may tear out your hair or think you're losing your mind... |
