I just got done replying on a thread where folks where disatisfied with the direction of filters and the quality and judging --I say speak up and say what you want and what better way the to start a thread with requests or challenges

Some of the stuff Ive submitted I figured would be my most popular are complete flops while others I think are low grade get the most downloads
By people saying CLEARLY what they want we can start to steer the content of this site in a more public pleasing direction

Hey great Idea As far as the transparency aspect if you look at one of my newest one Virology if you invert the alpha it can easily do the shap its the highlights and colors Ill have to give some thought to since to pull it off realistically I might not be the best for color blends but at least maybe using my filter as a starting point for the alpha might help someone

Here is another challange..I don't have any picts but they can be searched for..I was going to do this a while ago but then start doing others instead. So how about a filter that strictly creates rims for cars and such...May not be exciting but a challenge none the less.....

well Im still working on the ones Rich asked for --coming niceley except for the field of depth one not sure what he meant and the fire one is coming nicely with the proper highlights and shapes it the blend mode to get it looking just like that is difficult generic 2d flames are easy but the lighting on theese is proving difficult for me at least--The rims sounds nice you could easily take something like that clockworks filter and modify it for chrome rims Im allready in the process of taking the plain spokes shape to make my fan blades a little easier to shape and vary. If no-one else tries give me a day or two because Im expecting a major heavy load from work in the next day or two

Okay Im gona toss my two cents into this one I was working on the flames and the getting the distortion just the way I wanted was proving difficult -can someone figure out how to use noise distortion and gradients to distort into a slight s shape all the way to a figure 8-- what controlled shape distortions can you come up with can you take the noise and make a letter A or maybe a star???? what is the limit of noise distortion

Noise distortion is similar to refraction or offset with the exception that it appears to use periln noise as the distortion map. Hense, you have more control over the distortion if you use another component.
