It would be amazing if Filter Forge could work inside of After Effects so all the parameters can be animated and such. It would make filter forge even more powerful than it already is and the possibilities would be endless. What are your thoughts? Also is there going to be a Mac version when it releases? I'm PC based but have coworkers that are Mac based

It would be sweet if one could 'compile' .8bf files from FF filters...

to Digital Realm:
After Effects compatibility is on our long-term plan. The Mac version has been under parallel development for as long as we are beta testing the PC version. A considerable portion of the code is already ported to Mac. When the PC version is released, we'll put more emphasis on finalizing the Mac version. |

to Crapadilla:
We cannot allow creating .8bf files from separate filters because this would mean that anyone could download all filters from the Library, compile .8bfs of them, sell them and ruin us ![]() Also, we would have to pack the HDRI lighting environments into every 8bf, which would increase its size to at least 12 Mb; and we cannot do it anyway because the HDRIs are licensed from Sachform and we cannot distribute them except as part of Filter Forge. If you want more detail, there was a long discussion here: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/soft...rge-2.html |
