This is probably a total wish, but seen as this is the wishlist smile;)

What I was wondering is could a feature such as being able to disable people moding/opening the filter editor be a possibility?

I am thinking more along the lines of people being able to sell filters they have designed with the knowledge that the internal structure of the filter will be locked preventing other people from editing the said filter.

actually, you're not the first. jffe suggested this quite a while back and as i recall, i poo-poo'ed him a bit on this. i'm thinking he may have been right all along, though, frankly, i'd miss being able to peek smile;)
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

There's already a couple of features in place that will do that....there's the "Don't Submit the Filter" feature.....and then there's the "Hold onto Your Filter and Make Money from the Results Yourself" feature.....both work equally well..... smile;) smile:D LOL.....

I know what you are saying....it's a good idea to keep someone from doing a quick-variant job on it and basically "hijacking" your work with minimal effort....but doubt Vlad would go that far.....much more "restrictive" than a EULA restriction on reselling straight texture results.....and can't even get that..... smile:-p

Not on about filters to be submitted to the library Steve.

More a IF you was to sell a filter that some one could create textures from (which said textures they can sell themselves or do what they wish with) but limit the usage of the filter by stopping them from editing the internals.
