This was inspired by another thread, but I just wanted to make sure the thought got recognized as a wished for feature.

I would be fun to make animated movies with the textures -- maybe where you could have changes in the sliders and each image could be saved into a movie file.
Utra Fractal (a program you could find through google) has really good animation features -- it would be cool if FF had something similar.

Since I mentioned fractals, I thought I'd also throw out the idea of using fractal formulas (like how perlin noise is used).
I've seen amazing designs with Ultra Fractal and Apophysis... (BTW, the UF spelling is correct here -- I messed it up in the other post.)

Yeah Crapadilla and I are both proponents of the batch renderer, glad to see we have some gathering support. I don't remember Vlad ever discussing what the target audience was for this program, but i know this would be of great benefit to game artists. I would even venture that 3D animators and web designers could get some mileage out of animating FF.

Oh man, if I'd only be able to get image sequences out of FF without dying of caffeine overdose and RSI! smile:D

A batch renderer would definitely be a first step towards an even wider audience, and it shouldn't be too hard to bring to realization. We don't even need any fancy keyframe editing, since you can easily retime a linear animation sequence in your favorite compositing app.

*Sigh*

Well, I'll keep my thumbs crossed!
