Just a small thing...
Currently, when the Filter Editor is launched, the Component Bar is hidden away by default. While this can be a blessing for users with one monitor only, it becomes annoying when one uses two monitors, since in that case you have the space to always display the component bar. A remedy for this would be to save the last state (visible or hidden) of the component bar and recall it whenever the editor is launched. That way, both one- and two-monitor users would be happy... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

you could also add it as an option in the options menu. i'm a single monitor user, so i almost always have it hidden. just too space consuming otherwise, but i can certainly see how the double guys would want this.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Since I use both one- and two-monitor systems at my home and office, I know that the default behaviour makes sense for most users and systems. I like it too, yet I keep cursing every time I fire the Filter Editor on my two monitor system!
![]() A checkbox in the options would definitely be an acceptable intermediate solution until the interface gets an overhaul. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Actually, a good dual-monitor layout would require quite a lot of work and testing. I've added this to the list.
