Once you have Crop, you probably also want Scale/Rotate for images. This will generate a new output image/map by applying a scale and/or rotate and/or offset on the input image. When scaling down, there could be an option to repeat or not where there's "white space" -- if no repeat, map it to a background color or transparent.
