Hi,
A number of FilterForge filters are available as photoshop-compatible plugins (8bf-format). It would be great to have an export filter in FilterForge Professional to save -only completely self-designed - filters in 8bf-format. This would open up opportunities for people who: - wish to go commercial with their filters while developing such filters with existing 8bf compilers is a bit over their head. - wish to share their filters with others who don't have FilterForge. If the Filter Editor is started, a new option could be added: 'create new filter from scratch'. Such filters internally could be flagged as 'fully self-designed' and when the user tries to exporting a filter to 8bf, then the presence of the flag could be checked before compiling actually is started. Hi CFandM,
Oh boy, I should have looked more thorough for similar topics in the forum ![]() But... As for the legal issues thing: thought I covered that with limiting exporting only to newly created filters from scratch (or reopened ones) with the 'allow exporting' flag. See last alinia in my initial e-mail. Oh well, I posted my request with arguments and way arounds and of course it's totally up to the developers what to do with it ![]() Roberto |

this is not without hope, however. vladimir (the head cheese at FF, inc.) has hinted at 'filter packs' for the future. so stay tuned.
frankly, i would love to have the capability to do stand-alone filters like the freebies FF, inc. has already put out there. i requested this WAAAAAAY back ![]() ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
