eyedropper / image regions for colour

It would be good to have an eye dropper option so that one could pick colours from a real image. Even better if one could open an image from with the program (you maybe be able to use something like FreeImage's dll for this).

Furthermore, it would ge great if we could then select a region of pixels from a photo and use these colours as an input.
