Maybe something like a "Technical Excellence Award"? It could be worth half the points of an editors choice.
Looking at the snippets page its pretty sparse right now... http://www.filterforge.com/filters/ca...page1.html Maybe having some reward would encourage more submissions there. (I know this sounds selfish considering I'm the main snippet guy but I'm pretty sure I've submitted enough bug reports already to get a free version. I just want to encourage everyone share their techniques.) |

Yes, I agree -- a reward path for snippets is a must.

The same for me on this.. ![]() These are my favorite picks, not including mine since I may be bias on that.. ![]() Circular Angle Gradient 1 and 2 Any Angle Offset Mirror + Zoom Tiling with Curves Flex Tiling Rotate 90° Un-Spherify Spherify The other thing is about snippets. Correct me if I am wrong but if popularity is judged by the usage of a filter how would a snippet become popular if one is not using it directly but inside their own filters... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Exactly -- that's the problem. Probably, we'll have to award them manually. |

It's not an award, but I would like to give my thanks to uberzez and byRo for my favorite Snippet so far, "Any Angle Rotate". It was able to give two filters I'm working on now new found versatility (Great for energy beams and giant killer meteors that absolutely, possitively must be aimed at a 35 degree angle)! Just wanted to thank you guys for creating it! ~^_^~ I definitely believe that Snippets should be acknowledged for their usefulness!
