Well, as far as I know and after having seen HOW is done the filter list (when I have seen the list with an XML editor or even plain text editor) is that FF software MUST compare the full filter lister of all the filters available in the FF Online Library with the list of the filterts you have already downloaded, so this way it can know if this filter you are trying to download has ALREADY been downloaded before or not, and also to be able to update the information of your own filter list on your FF version.

Is true that it can take some time until this is done and can be frustating and annoying sometimes waiting for this for EACH filter you want to download.

of course that downloading a filter from the forum is very fast and instant because this filter is NOT included in the FF Library and it does NOT need to check if the filter has been downloaded before or not, and ALL the filter you download from the forum go to the same "My filters" folder that is not updated or checked when downloading from the FF Online Library.

HOW TO AVOID THE "Getting the list of filters" MESSAGE?

Well is really possible to avoid totally this message and do not keep waiting for this on EACH filter you want to download.

You can use the Filter Forge Browser to download the filters you want AND the "Getting the list of filters" will ONLY appear once when opening the FF Browser and then after you can download any amount of filters without this message appearing again.
