I think it would be really cool to just have 1 noise component with a drop-down menu of what type of noise it is, that way we can just change types and keep all the setting the same.

What do you think, plausible? Already thought about and rejected? smile:)

If they do not want to make a simple drop down menu for the blend mode component and has been rejected I think that this would be probably the same.

Your idea is good in the way that if you have configured a noise component and you have already it attached to others components you can just change the type of noise in the drop down menu without having to replace the component and so you could test and do some experiments much better.

It sounds like a neat idea, but different noises have different inputs and parameters. What happens when you have all kinds of inputs connected, and then change the noise type to something with less inputs?

hm.. I don't know how their nodes work internally, but they could just be hidden.

As long as it works fine, I don't have to worry about it.
Works like a charm..
