Hi,

fairly new to FF, but wondering if it this suggestion would be compatible with the application's architecture:

The idea would be to have an "OBJ input" node that would load whatever 3D mesh one has output as a .obj file (with UVs properly laid out).
The user would proceed to building a filter network with functions that take XYZ space into account (essentially, volumetric noise functions)... the result would be processed by a "convert to UV Space" node which would then be able to feed its output to any other node or filter network for further 2D filtering...

Crazy request?... Would be VERY useful for 3D look-development in games, or any other 3D CGI application involving textured models.

Thanks for humoring me.

That would definitely be interesting, but I doubt that Filter Forge, with its focus on 2D stuff, could stomach this. This is an idea for a product with a wider scope, a product that has 3D built into its DNA.
